TV Ministry Overview

The mission of TV Ministry is to provide Catholic TV, radio, and internet programming to general Catholic, homebound, elderly, and shut in viewers, primarily in our diocese.

In the spirit of evangelization, TV Ministry offers various forms of Catholic programming for the entire Diocese of Worcester to become more aware of their faith.

With more and more people of all ages using the internet, we augmented our broadcasts with this medium. The TV Mass, along with many of our broadcast programs, is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This has been an effective, viable resource for our evangelization efforts. We can and do now reach people across the world, as emails and letters from New Zealand, to England, to Dubai have testified.

Our web viewers have increased to tens of thousands of hits per year. One recent viewer in New Zealand wrote, “…it really is a good site and a beautiful Mass. Thank you once again. I will be watching as often as I can.”

We are also linked to various websites as a resource to dioceses who cannot provide this service. In Indiana we are streaming on the Diocesan website Catholic Radio Indy. They said this Mass has brought  “a large amount of viewership to our website.”

Through cable television we are available to over 330,000 homes around the Diocese of Worcester. We have a large number of viewers that watch our programs and often we are told by guests who appeared on our programs that “everyone keeps stopping me saying that they saw me on TV.”

Spreading the Good News to those who have no access to these previous forms of media is where video distribution helps to evangelize. We offer all of our programming to public access centers and make copies available of all programs to parishes, groups and individuals.
