June 18, 2020, WORCESTER, MA -- Bishop Robert McManus of the Diocese of Worcester has announced the following clergy assignments which will be effective July 1.
Fr. Dario Acevedo has been appointed Sacramental Minister at St. Peter Parish, Worcester while remaining Chaplain for the Brazilian Community at St. Anna Parish, Leominster and will reside at St. Anna Parish.
Fr. Thiago DaSilva will be Associate Pastor at St. George Parish, Worcester.
Fr. Frederick D. Fraini, III will be Pastor of North American Martyrs Parish, Auburn. He will replace
Fr. John F. Gee who is retiring as their Pastor.
Fr. John F. Hamm who has been appointed to Diocesan Sacramental Ministry with residence at Holy Family Parish, Worcester.
Fr. Donato Infante, III has been named the Chaplain for Saint Paul Diocesan Jr.-Sr. High School, Worcester while remaining Diocesan Vocation Director and Co-Director of Holy Name of Jesus House of Studies, Worcester.
Fr. Alan J. Martineau has been named Administrator of St. Stanislaus Parish, West Warren and St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Warren. Fr. Martineau will also serve as a Defender of the Bond in the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal for the Diocese of Worcester.
Fr. James S. Mazzone has been appointed the Diocesan Priest Personnel Director, He is replacing Fr. Walter Riley whose term ended. Fr. Mazzone will also continue as Pastor of St. John, Guardian of Our Lady Parish, Clinton.
Fr. Daniel E. Moreno, who has been Administrator of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Dudley will be their Pastor.
Fr. Joseph M. Nally, who has been serving as Senior Priest at St. George Parish, Worcester will retire.
Fr. Alfredo Porras has been named the Catholic Chaplain at WPI, Worcester, and Religion Teacher at Saint Paul Diocesan Jr.-Sr. High School, Worcester. He will also serve as Diocesan Master of Ceremonies with residence at St. Paul Cathedral Rectory, Worcester.
Fr. William Schipper has been named the Administrator of St. John the Baptist Parish, East Brookfield and St. Joseph Parish, North Brookfield, while remaining Pastor, Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, Spencer.
Fr. Richard A. Jakubauskas is retiring as Pastor of those two parishes.
