Mr. David Grenier of Oxford has been hired to serve as Implementation Coordinator for the new All Saints Academy in Webster. Mr. David Grenier has a master’s degree in education from Worcester State University and a master’s in business administration from Rivier College. He has served as a grades 5-8 teacher of math and social studies and as a high school teacher of marketing/retail banking. He has held high school administrative positions that include serving as assistant-principal, principal and principal/assistant superintendent in public high schools.
According to Delma Josephson, Ph.D., superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Worcester, “The pastors wanted to set the tone of high expectations for the new school by hiring someone with the various credentials, experience and expertise needed to serve in this position. They are pleased to have found this in Mr. Grenier and are looking forward to introducing him to their school and parish communities.”
Mr. Grenier also holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in his position as Executive Officer Chief of Staff in the Massachusetts Air National Guard. He is the principal assistant to the director of staff overseeing the force management of the Commonwealth’s 2,216 Air National Guard personnel. Among his responsibilities are developing plans and policies for personnel development, deployment and training. In his recommendation of Mr. Grenier, Brigadier General Gary W. Keefe stated, “Dave consistently used his impressive interpersonal skills, coupled with sound decision making abilities, to ensure the team stayed task-focused and saw the challenge through to fruition. Outstanding results become the expected “status quo” when Dave was involved in any project or mission.” Mr. Grenier will retire this summer from the Air National Guard.
In his various military leadership positions he has overseen personnel budgets. He has had a responsible role for engineering and installations personnel and contractors in countries including Afghanistan and Iraq. Mr. Grenier has supervised electronics/radio, wire, and workload section personnel which should be helpful when he is working with a technology committee for the new school.
The father of three children, Mr. Grenier and his wife Susan reside in Oxford. He is a graduate of the former St. Joseph Elementary School in Worcester and Holy Name High School.
Dr. Josephson, stated, “With Mr. Grenier’s leadership experience in education, budgeting, management, personnel relations, along with his familiarity with this part of Worcester County, he is well equipped to provide the leadership required to oversee the
Implementation Plan for the Establishment of All Saints Academy. The pastors’ selection of him as implementation coordinator is a clear indication of their commitment to have All Saints Academy be an exemplary Catholic elementary school.”
