The building and furnishing of the new chapel in the hospital’s Cancer Center is a joint undertaking by the hospital’s owners Vanguard Health Systems of Nashville Tennessee and the Roman Catholic Bishop and Diocese of Worcester. The latter will provide the envelope for the chapel – walls, ceiling/floor, lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning whereas Most Rev. Robert J. McManus, the Bishop of Worcester, has agreed to furnish the new chapel.
The Diocese of Worcester has designated the Catholic Restoration Apostolate (CRA) as the vehicle by which the Catholic mission of Saint Vincent Hospital is to be maintained. There are a number of ways to make a contribution to the CRA to aid in this noble cause.
Unrestricted contributions can be made by cash or check.
